Welcome to Amazing Moments Global Outreach Ministry. The creators of this site would like to thank all of you that view it. We would like to start by telling you about the events that led to the creation of this site.

Though we credit Jesus Christ as the founder of Amazing Moments, a young man named Michael Young was the vessel He used to create this site. Over a period of several months the LORD was clearing the path and preparing Michael’s heart to begin this ministry.

Throughout Michael’s life he had been in several relationships that he hoped would define him. Although he was committed to making them work, they were not God’s will for his life. It was at the end of one of these relationships where he found himself alone and contemplating the true direction of God’s will for his life.

Michael was working as a waiter at California Pizza Kitchen. He mustered the strength to go to work and was going through the usual routine when two gentlemen came in and were seated in his section. He took their order and when their food arrived he noticed they prayed before eating. He had seen customers do this countless times but felt led to speak with these men.

He approached the two men and began to describe the situation he was in. They decided to pray. The presence of the Holy Spirit was very strong. In fact, two other people who had been eating came and joined them in prayer. Five people, strangers upon walking in, joined together for a brief moment as brothers and sisters in Christ. God cared enough about one man’s troubled heart to do so. For Michael, this was a perfect example of His love, drawing His children together. He felt God’s presence in a tangible way. His presence was calming, comforting and gave Michael supernatural peace. Michael would later comment, “It was an ‘amazing moment’ for me.”

This powerful event was enough to sustain him for the next six weeks. However, his thoughts often returned to his lost relationship. His own heart was taunting him with doubts and making him replay each moment of his life with her over and over. This began to upset him and soon these questions began to destroy him spiritually. Michael was asking questions of God but never waited to listen for the answers. He began to scream and shout at God. He even went so far as to pick up the Bible and slam it against the wall, screaming, “You’re not powerful enough to overcome my problems!” God was about to prove him wrong.

Michael decided to take a walk to clear his mind. Anger was coursing through him. He was mad at God, mad at himself, and mad at the world. That’s when God threw down another lifeline with another “amazing moment.” As he walked through the parking lot of Landmark Church, he heard a man named Bill Draper say to another man, “There’s no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

Michael stopped dead, looked at him asked, “What did you say?”

Bill repeated, “There’s no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.” Michael wondered why he never remembered that verse. He knew it, but his poor thoughts and doubt had hid it from his memory. Over the next few weeks the Holy Spirit wooed him with thoughts, like, “Aren’t you curious as to what Satan is trying to keep you away from?”

He continued learning until one day the Holy Spirit moved on him to give up his burden. Michael realized he had never truly given anything up to God. He thought he had done so with his failed relationship, but realized he was still carrying the burden with him. He was never one to give things up. He was always one who wanted to hold onto things and carry the baggage around himself. He wasn’t sure what to do, so he lifted his arms to the sky and asked God to take away his pain and his questions surrounding the relationship. Michael felt the Holy Spirit wash over him and felt all his burdens lift off him. God delivered him. He was no longer bound by his troubles, doubts and worries. He was finally set free!

Michael was so thankful he decided he wanted to share his experiences with others about all that Jesus had done for him over the last seven months. The Holy Spirit reminded him of a story he had written titled, “Amazing Moments” that told of his experience at the restaurant months earlier. The Holy Spirit then gave him a vision and a purpose. He could see that “Amazing Moments” would be the name of an entire series of true stories that would lead to the birth of an online ministry. Michael then posted that story on a social networking site called ‘Tagged.’ He told his roommate Darryl about what he was doing. He asked Darryl if he too had a story. Darryl did and he shared it with Michael. Darryl’s story is titled “Inches from Death,” available in the archives of this site. This was the birth of Amazing Moments, established on June 1st, 2009 in Norcross, Georgia.

Within three months after its inception, Amazing Moments started to gain in popularity. They invited others to share how Jesus touched them in amazing ways. God inspired Michael and Darryl to then launch the website you currently see to honor Him. Several months later the Holy Spirit then moved on Michael to form Amazing Moments Online Ministry into an official Non-Profit Organization established March 16, 2010 or 3/16 which was an awesome confirmation that the ministry was accepted as a Non-Profit by the state of Georgia on that day. Je Hammonds joined the staff of Amazing Moments in the Fall of 2010, and within a few months was appointed to CFO of Amazing Moments Online Ministry. Je Hammonds received a prophetic vision as a child and knew in his heart that he would one day travel the world spreading the Gospel. He would soon meet Michael and Darryl 25+ yrs later during the website’s infancy and work together with them to solidify Amazing Moments’ Online Ministerial Presence as well as taking the practical message of the cross from the website to the streets–meeting the need of the homeless and the impoverished.

The website and the organization have taken on new life since then. Several additions have been made such as Bible lessons called Anointed Teachings as well as God In The News–which highlights the miraculous in every day news. The organization has also undergone a name change that took place during the summer of 2015. It was during this process that Je Hammonds, Co-founder and former CFO of Amazing Moments Online Ministry transitioned into now being the CEO/Pastor of Amazing Moments Global Outreach Ministry. He has taken the reigns as the senior leader of the ministry, while Michael has been called away from full-time senior leadership of Amazing Moments to be used by the Lord to focus on strengthening the foundation for another vital connected part of the God’s ministry, Inspirational Pictures, Inc. Joined together and interlocked within each other, led by the spirit, these two ministries form a multimedia ministry film production partnership with a mission to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the darkest corners of the world.

This site was, is and forever will be dedicated to the Amazing life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
